Adventurous Life
It is time for you to start living the adventurous life you were created to live. God has given you unique desires and visions that He wants you to fulfill as you walk more intimately with Him and others. It is not about pursuing your desires and visions but about fulfilling the desires and visions that God has placed in you. This is life's real adventure "...longing fulfilled is a tree of life" (Proverbs 13:12). We want to be part of your adventure.
Advisors
God is inviting us to go on a remarkable journey with Him, Which He has uniquely, purposefully, and personally designed for you to experience with Him. When God guides your words and actions, it makes an eternal difference in the lives you touch. God has created a team of advisors to accompany you on this great adventure. You will never escape the highs and lows of life. However, you will have a family of believers to walk with you and share the indescribable joy and peace that comes from knowing you are in the center of His will. Ask yourself: Who are the advisors currently journeying with you? (tax advisors, financial planners, pastors, attorneys, etc.) Do they share your core values and beliefs? Are they the advisors you believe God has called to journey with you?
Discover
You will discover your unique journey as you spend time with God. We believe that God can do all He said He can do through us. We all have a calling, and we all need friends who will come beside us to water the seeds Christ has planted inside each of us. As God fills you with His Holy Spirit, He empowers you and equips you to recognize His voice and unique promptings as you lead others to do the same.
Ask yourself...
Am I fulfilling all the purposes and dreams God had in mind when He created me?
What if we looked at our businesses, marriages, families, and circles of influence and asked: Is this the best that God has in mind for us? Is this the life Jesus has called us to live as we follow Him?
What if we really believed that ‘nothing is impossible with God’, and we start to let the Holy Spirit reveal all that God wants to do in and through us? What if we were to share those Holy Spirit-inspired dreams with others? What might we accomplish as we pursue those dreams together to become realities?
What would it be like to experience the impossible becoming possible?
You are His chosen leader, not because of who you are or what you have done, but because God adopted you as His child through Christ Jesus. It's time to put away the victim thinking and put on victorious living because you are His chosen child, a reflection of His image.
Next Steps
Information is just entertainment or a false sense of security if we never do anything with it. Our goal is to work with our clients to turn information into transformation.
Jesus told us that our daily prayer should be: "God... your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10, NIV). We bring God's kingdom power and life wherever we “proclaim good news to the poor (and) freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor" (Luke 4:18-19, NIV). It is the same mission of Jesus and the apostles: "Jesus gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness... Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons" (Matthew 10:1,7,8 NIV; explore Luke 9:1-6, Matthew 10:5-15, Luke 10:1-23). It is the same mission Jesus empowers us to live through the Holy Spirit's guidance: "I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father... and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you." (John 14:12, 16-17, NLT).
The life God has called you to live is amazing; lived outside of your comfort zone. This is what your spirit has been yearning for, starving for, and craving. The Spirit of God lives and thrives in adventure, while evil thrives in the spirit of fear (John 10:10; 2 Timothy 1:7). It's time to break free from fear and let God lead you out of your comfort zone into His amazing adventure. “Do not merely listen to [God's voice]... Do what it says” (James 1:22, NIV) and “go and make disciples to all nations” (Matthew 28:19).
Led by God to Lead
Who is pouring life into you; who are you pouring life into? Imagine having a team of leaders committed to knowing you and encouraging you to live the adventurous life you were created to live. We all grow when we follow Jesus’ model for intimate life learning. God has called all believers to go and make disciples. The word "disciple" means "learner," which means we are all "learners" who are making "learners" with the Holy Spirit as our teacher (John 14:26).
Ministry Background

In 1992, Dustin started a college ministry and eventually became a financial ministry.
He is a graduate of the All Access program at Seacoast Community Church, which required a year-long commitment (over 800 hours of in-depth, hands-on ministry training led by well-known ministry consultant, Mac Lake).
About ten years into Dustin's career, Dustin and Anissa saw the need to write a quick, easy-to-read financial book that combines the best of both biblical and financial principles. Due to the 2017 Tax Law changes, they are now in the process of rewriting the book.
Their daughter Anna and Dustin have together written several children’s books called Proverbs Play — It is play with a purpose.
Dustin and Anissa's Beliefs
We started LaPorte Wealth Management Group for those with a heart to pursue the adventure God has placed inside them. LaPorte Wealth Management Group is not a place or person, nor does it have a religious denomination; It is a family. Just like a family, we all may share many core beliefs and values yet, at the same time, know God uniquely designs us with different callings and convictions. Family is most important to us than whether you are Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Lutheran, Protestant, or any other denomination.
The Bible is the foundation for all Christians' beliefs and values. We acknowledge that the Bible is divinely inspired by God. We believe God desires us all to be learners and readers of the entire Bible, not just the sections that support our personal beliefs or biases.
• In essential core beliefs of Christianity - we have unity for there is only one Body and one Spirit…there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all… (Ephesians 4:4–6).
• In non-essential beliefs - we have liberty. Our response to others about the mysteries in life that the Bible does not clearly clarify is, "You might be right." "Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters…who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master, he stands or falls…So then each of us will give an account of himself to God…So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God" (Romans 14:1, 4, 12, 22).
• In all our beliefs - we show love… "If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains—but I have no love, I amount to nothing at all" (1 Corinthians 13:2).
The Essentials We Believe
The sole basis for our belief is God's written word, the Bible. It is uniquely God-inspired without error and is the final authority on all matters it speaks about. There is one God eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - each possessing all the attributes of deity.
God created humans to be so intimate with Him that His Holy Spirit would live within them, leading them to be the very image of His will (the image of God). However, through Adam's decision, the human race chose to be led by its own knowledge of good and evil instead of being led by God’s Spirit. Without the leadership and power of God’s Spirit, humans soon discovered it was impossible to do all the good they knew they should (Genesis 1 & 2; Romans 7).
Our deepest fulfillment only comes when we feel God's presence and guidance in our life through moment-by-moment reflections on His will. However, our disobedience and inability to do God’s will (sin) caused us to hide from God; hidden from the very source that could give us our deepest fulfillment and true life.
Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sins by dying on the cross as our substitute. This accomplished salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him. Jesus rose from the dead and is the only mediator between us and God. He baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit and will return to earth someday to take his people with him.
We believe with all our hearts that Jesus Christ came to be the cleansing sacrifice. He removed all the excuses we could ever have against having a relationship with God. Jesus made the way for God’s Holy Spirit to live in us and empower us to live the adventurous life God calls us to live. This is a gift from God, not to be earned by human effort, but to be received personally by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ and equips believers for personal growth and service. The role of God's family is to glorify God and serve those in need. At the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and judgment. Only believers will enjoy eternal fellowship with God. Together we are all the temple of God because the Spirit of God lives in us (1 Corinthians 3:16). When God's people gather together, it is not a spectator event but a participatory, living, breathing entity called the body of Christ.
Our Motto
Our motto is “Love, Listen, Live” because it reveals the core, the heart of why we exist.
Love - Love with the love that comes from God
Be intentional: Let God’s love flow in you and through you. Love is what flows out of those who have God’s life in them (1 John 4:8). This is True life (Luke 9:24). God’s desire is for you to seek Him (Matthew 6:33), and He will place His Spirit within you (Ezekiel 36:26-27; 1 Corinthians 3:16; John 15:9-11). God wants to overflow you with His love so that it will flow into the lives of others (Matthew 22:37-40; 1 Corinthians 13). You are able to receive God’s Holy Spirit, love, and acceptance because you are His adopted son or daughter. This adoption was not based on your performance but on God’s choosing. The price God paid for your adoption was the cross (John 3:16; Eph. 1:3-14). It is nothing that you deserve or earn. Satan always tries to get you to base your relationship with God on your performance because the closer you are to God, the more you become the reflection and image of God. This oneness and closeness does not happen when you are filled with pride, shame, or guilt.
Listen - Listen to the thoughts in you that come from God
Be willing and available: God designed you to be an image of Him (Genesis 1:26-27). This means you were designed to completely reflect His will (John 14:7). You do this by recognizing which thoughts and visions in you are from God (John 10:27-31). The only way you can completely reflect God’s will is to be in relationship with God through Jesus Christ, have His Holy Spirit inside you, and trust and obey Him. You can meditate on God’s written word to learn to confirm His voice in your thoughts (Psalm 119:15). Salvation is not about being ruled by His law but by a relationship in which God leads your thoughts, desires, and imaginations.
Live - Live out the vision or thoughts God placed in you
Be obedient - Live out what it means to be the image of God (John 5:19; 14:7). Be a living example of what it means to have God’s Spirit living in you and through you (1 Corinthians 11:1; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 5:2). Live the life God has called you to live -- a life that leads others into a growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ. When you do this, you carry forward His mission and do the same works He did (John 14:12), for you receive the authority that comes from the Father. We are to live a life that is full of both grace and truth (John 1:14; 1 John 4:8).
